Students will find a wide variety of cuisines and healthy options. Our dining program prides itself on being forward thinking, innovative and dynamic. Our professional chefs develop menus that include vegan and vegetarian options and cater to those with special dietary needs. We are always happy to discuss menus to accommodate specific needs.

Mobile Order Pickup Lockers
Contact-free food lockers exclusively at The Grind via Grubhub that will enhance the customer experience. Easy step-by-step process.
  1. Place your mobile order through Grubhub
  2. We prepare your order and load it into the locker.
  3. You scan a QR code at the locker to grab your food and go.
New Food Truck Wraps & Menus
Our mobile food fleet has a new look! The Fud Truk and The Talon will sport new, eye-popping wraps with revamped menus. We're also excited to introduce our newest concept - The Purple Pita! The Purple Pita will offer Middle-Eastern inspired cuisine featuring hand-harvested Halal meats.
Dining Dollars Now Accepted at our Vending Solutions
Beginning in September, Dining Dollars will be accepted at our vending solutions at Hillside Cafe and at the Convenience Corridor in Siegel Gallery at Iacocca Hall. Credit, Debit, Apple Pay and Google Pay are also accepted.
Market X Renovation & New Payment Options
Market X will undergo a facelift in early September. Once complete, the 24/7 micromarket in Building C at Mountaintop will accept Dining Dollars and GoldPLUS via all-new self-checkout kiosks.
Stacks at Rathbone
Stacks is our new Salad/Deli concept that will feature updated aesthetics, new equipment and expanded counter seating. 
New ADA Entrances at Rathbone
The exterior at Rathbone has been reconstructed with new ADA entrances. The updated space will also offer additional outdoor seating.
Retail Meal Deals
We've updated our Retail Meal Deals for the Fall 2023 semester. A Retail Meal Deal is a combo meal offered in select retail cafes for one Meal Credit. I.E. A sandwich, bag of chips and beverage for one Meal Credit.
New Menu Features Across Campus
We've added some new menu offerings that we think will be a hit with students.

Tips for Navigating Dining
  • Check online menus to see what is being offered at all locations.
  • Take advantage of our retail Meal Deals to help with meal plan budgeting.
  • Plan ahead and budget. Keep an eye on the balances of your Meal Swipes and Dining Dollars. You can check your balance via the student housing and dining portal and with our cashiers.
  • Utilize Grubhub to order food for pick up or delivery! Meal Credits, Dining Dollars and GoldPLUS are accepted through GrubHub when you sync your LU ID card within the app.
  • Don't depend solely on "All You Care to Eat" student restaurants. The dynamics of on-campus dining are evolving. We encourage students to explore all of our great offerings at our retail locations and food trucks.
  • Be sure to understand all of the components (Meal Swipes, Meal Credits, Dining Dollars) of your meal plan. Click here to learn more about meal plans. 
  • Try taking a meal to go once in a while. Beat the lines at Rathbone by using our new "Express Line".

A Meal Deal is a combo that can be purchased for one Meal Credit/Swipe. For example - A sandwich, bag of chips and a beverage for one Meal Credit.
Rathbone and Brodhead Student Restaurants will serve as the two all-you-care-to-eat student restaurants on campus.
Anyone is welcome to dine at Brodhead, you’ll just need to complete this form at least one business day before your first visit. Once the form is completed you can visit as often as you wish during the current semester.
One Meal Swipe is deducted from a student's meal plan in exchange for one meal from our All-You-Care-To-Eat Student Restaurants. Students can opt to dine in or request a To-go ecoContainer. Meal Swipes will continue to be accepted at Rathbone and Brodhead student restaurants in the Spring 2023 semester and beyond.
A Meal Credit is a cash value applied to food purchases at retail dining locations on campus, except Market X. In exchange for a Meal Swipe, students receive credit toward the total cost of a retail purchase. Meal Credits are accepted at all retail locations on campus - Hawk's Nest, The Grind @ FML, Common Grounds, Hillside Cafe, The Hideaway Cafe, Global Cafe, Lucy's Cafe and Iacocca Cafe. Our three food trucks - Fud Truk, The Talon and The Purple Pita also accept Meal Credits.
This declining balance account can be used exclusively at all on-campus retail dining locations on campus. Dining Dollars are non-refundable and carry over from the Fall semester to the Spring semester. Any remaining balance at the conclusion of the Spring semester is forfeited. Students can add more Dining Dollars by clicking here.
Yes! We have a great partnership with GrubHub which allows students to order pick up from any on campus retail dining location or delivery from Clutch & Go or Hawk's Nest.
